Wreaths on the brain.

via Eddie Ross...he moved yesterday so I thought it was a good starting point.

So yesterday, my post got deleted by my husband...he didn't mean to, but still!!!!! was my "It's Official" post because it was December 1...well now it is December 2 and I guess it is just one day more "official" than it was before.   So I am going to try to recreate what I had written...

I am the kind of person that really can't get into Christmas until the Calendar turns to December....well now I am IN it....knee deep in boxwood cuttings for my wreaths and ribbon...I went on shopping spree at Hobby Lobby everything was 50% off!  If I don't use the ribbon this year...weeeelll there is always next year, right?  You see, this year I am going to put wreaths on my windows, something I have always wanted to do.  I think I will put most on the outside front, but there is a part of me that wants them inside too.

via country living (I like the idea of a wreath NOT on a window)

Since this is our first Christmas in this home, it is really exciting to see what it will look like all prettied up for the holidays....I have ideas... BIG ideas....HUGE if I could just get my fingers to work faster....

which brings me to this question...Do you prefer Artificial vs. Real for exterior wreaths??? There is a part of me that is thinking I will just make my front door wreath out of real cuttings,(which is the tradition in our family) and then buy the others.  Why do I always feel I must make everything with my own hands????  Or maybe I will buy artificial cuttings and make my own artificial wreaths...that might be the ticket.

Now if we could only agree on where to put the tree.......hmmmm for another post I suppose.

Happy 2nd day of December!

We always hang a fresh wreath on our door along with 3 fresh wreaths in the front, but this year with 2 machines and the yard looking a mess, I think we will just have to wait until next year for hanging the wreaths.
Love all your images! Agreeing is hard with the husbands-but in the end make'em believe that it was all their brilliant idea! :)

What beautiful images!! I always feel compelled to use real everything - but I don't make them - I buy the wreaths and then add little touches. Same with the garland - in fact Costco had great garland - just bought some yesterday and keeping outside til I'm ready. I'm sure whatever you do will look lovely!!

Love all of your images, in fact the one with the black hutch is my all time favorite!!! Love the black and white striped ribbon, I did that in my dining room this year!! This is the best time of year isn't it!! I get so excited with every little thing I do. I am just a big kid. I did a guest post today at Providence LTD. where I posted my favorite inspiration picts this year and the black hutch is in the line-up. I am hanging my fresh wreath today!!! Yippee!! Merry Christmas, Fa-la-la hmmm-hmm=hm! ♪♫♪♫

Love each and every image! Love wreaths - inside, outside, everywhere!

I personally prefer natural wreaths for outdoors - this year I'm doing Magnolia for my southern roots!

Enjoy the decorating spree in your new home!!!

Even if we are in the faux flower business, we still hand fresh on our doors every year - and the tree is fresh, too! There's no other time of year when you can bring that wonderful scent of pine inside. LOve all these boxwood wreath inspirations... perhaps you can start with fresh and add a little faux?
