Aren't these tea containers so pretty? And wouldn't a collection of them look so nice.
Lucky for me I have 12 of them...
of varying shapes and sizes.
Scored at an auction yesterday. You know something like love at first sight....but really don't have a place for them. Thinking they are destined to be sold...but I don't know that I can bear to split them all up. They look so pretty all together.
They instantly reminded me of this....

There is just nothing like a collection of the same type of object with varying heights and weights and textures.

Love collections of silver. And, can I tell you how badly I need those silver trophies! I'm decorating a table for a fundraiser..Diffa style. My table's theme is Kentucky Derby and I have looked high and low for silver trophies. Don't you know I'll see them everywhere after Saturday! :)
Great score on those tea canniseters ----might have to hang on them!

Oh I hope you don't sell them or worse split them up - are you sure you don't have someplace for them? They are utterly charming. My sister had an incredible collection of antique ironstone that she sold and now she's sorry.
Love your collection!
Yes, love a cup of tea~

I am a tea snob, I mean lover, and these tins are adorable.
P.S. After making a comment, I browsed your site for about an hour!! It is lovely. Can you please tell me which marble you have on your countertops? We are doing a major gut job on our new digs, and the countertop is driving me crazy. I love marble but am concerned about the upkeep.
Lovely choice of pictures, they are all so pretty. My fav is the one with all the white pitchers and tureens,
be still my heart!! lol
Thanks for sharing that, so enjoyable.

Gretchen,
Thanks so much for your warm email and coming by the blog.
These tea canisters are amazing.
Such a great find!
If you are going to sell them at least use them on a tablescape with some pretty flowers in all of them before letting them go.
They are so vintage and probably hard to come by.
Then again. I wouldnt sell them...lol
Happy Weekend

Gretchen! 12 of them! I am a tad envious. And a good collection (but not too many different ones!) brings so much personality to a home.
That Gibson home is fantastic. I am saving that image in my personal style file.
Happy weekend to you!
Warm hugs
