My Mother in law just gave me a ton of old doilies, which I wouldn't nornally use, but in this case, I think they are just the platform for these cute little white pumpkins. |

must say, it has been really hard for me, until now, to FEEL like getting fall ready. I mean, when it is like 90 degrees outside and everything is so dry, it is hard to believe pumpkin season is around the corner. So, yesterday, as I was walking the kids to school, in a slight drizzle, with a little nip in the air.... my daughter screetches "oh Mom, LOOK at the pumpkins on the front porch" of a house we had just walked by. And I thought to myself, "It IS fall, isn't it!" So, off to the grocery I went. I didn't hesitate to buy these fabulous white pumpkins. Just the thing we need to get fall started, a slight twist on the ol orange pumpkin. I will wait a couple of weeks for those, but until then, these little gems scattered around my home have convinced me it really IS fall.
What do you do to get fall started?
My friend Rene over at Cottage and Vine is having a "falling up" link party. So if you have anything "fall like" to share, stop by.
Have a wonderful, Fall day! It is nice and drizzly and cloudy here. I might have to make soup for dinner...butternut squash anyone?

I adore white pumpkins and try to use them each fall! Last year, I spent a small fortune on green/blue pumpkins that I got from a local grower. Little did I know when I was picking them that they sold by the pound!
Isn't it nice to find ways to incorporate those family keepsakes? Little white pumpkins are adorable on those vintage doilies. So glad you could join the party Gretchen.
I love those! Nicely done. Makes me want to spray some of my dollar store pumpkins white!
Those white pumpkins looks so chic...the third image is my favorite!
Really now, white pumpkins! I must re-think my project to paint them "black."

I had never seen a white squash! It must make for beautiful soups and gratins.
I'm ALL about white pumpkins!!!! I love how they transition so well from Halloween to Thanksgiving. I like your style!!! :)
Funny that I LOVE orange, but when it comes to the quintessential orange object I would rather go with white...Happy Friday Everyone! --GO
